Section 2 includes oral surgery and oral medicine, materials science and technology, periodontology, oral prosthetics and the dental technician programme. Oral health, function and quality of life characterise the section — with infections, tissue changes, biomaterials and reconstructive care at the centre. We conduct basic and specialist educations as well as professional development trainings in a research-active academic environment defined by internationalisation, innovation and collaboration with society.
