Lecture
Inaugural lecture with professor Martin Höst
Tuesday 10 October, 10:15 - 11:30
Niagara, auditorium C, Nordenskiöldsgatan 1, or livestream

Research on how we develop software
The lecture will present Martin's research in empirical software engineering, which for example has focused on industrial usage of open source software and development of research methods.
About
In the area of open source software Martin has studied how and why industrial organizations use open source components in their development and what questions they need to answer. They, for example, need to decide how they choose which open source component to use, to what extent they should engage in development of the components, and how they should work with security in terms of software vulnerabilities.
In the area research methodology in software engineering Martin has been involved in development of research methods for controlled experiments and case studies.
Attendance
You can join the lecture in auditorium C in Niagara, Nordenskiöldsgatan 1, Malmö or via livestream. Link to the livestream will be published here.
