People's Park and the places of the labor movement – a walking tour

132 years ago, Malmö's young social democratic movement established its perhaps most important places, Malmö Folkets park. The park's early history is intimately linked to the labour movement's difficulty in finding both premises and places for political demonstrations. An equally important part of history as the jazz, dance bands, coffee and beer consumed in the park is thus, that 12,000 gathered for a 1902 suffrage meeting.
