Students with citizenship in countries outside the EU, the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, are required to pay application and tuition fees.

Tuition fees for programmes

The tuition fees for degree programmes can be found on the programme pages in our course catalogue. Follow the links below to see the tuition fees for the programme that you are interested in. The programmes are divided into bachelor's, one-year master's programmes and two-year master's programmes.

Different types of instalments

The tuition fees are divided into two types of instalments. 'Full tuition fee' corresponds to the total fee, and 'first instalment' is the fee per year. The tuition fee must be paid per academic year and cannot be divided into smaller instalments. The amounts are given in Swedish Crowns (SEK).

Payment can be made by credit card or by bank transfer. Credit card is the fastest and easiest way to make a payment, but if you opt to pay by bank transfer please note that international transfers may take a couple of weeks to clear. Make sure to allow for the extra time when making the payment.

Information for students from Iran

Due to international regulations, Swedish universities are currently prohibited to pay money to Iran. This might affect you if you require a repayment, so you should be mindful about which account you choose to make a payment from. We recommend that you choose a payment method that works if a refund has to be made.

Payment by credit card

To begin the credit card payment, you will need access to your Notification of Selection Results and the email containing payment instructions. Once you have that, please proceed through this link:

Payment by bank transfer

  • You must include your name and personal identification number as a reference with the transfer (you can find your personal identification number on the top-left corner of your Notification of Selection Results).
  • Inform your bank that you wish to make the transfer in Swedish Crowns (SEK). If your bank cannot transfer Swedish Crowns, make sure the amount of money you transfer is equivalent to the invoiced amount of Swedish Crowns.
  • You are responsible for any of your bank's charges associated with the transfer.

Refunds and non-payment

The payment needs to be completed in order to start your studies. If you do not pay the tuition fees on time, you will be suspended from your studies until payment has been completed.

Tuition fee refunds before enrolment

A full tuition fee refund, except an administrative fee of 3000 SEK, may be granted before enrolment.

Valid reasons for a refund include — but are not limited to — a rejection of a residence permit application, failure to meet academic requirements, or the student deciding not to commence or continue their studies.

Tuition fee refunds for early withdrawal

A full tuition fee refund, except an administrative fee of 3000 SEK, may be granted for students who register for an early withdrawal from studies. An early withdrawal can be made up to three weeks into the semester and must be reported to the Programme Administrator as well as the Admissions Office.
