I am a Specialist Nurse in Psychiatric Care and an Associate Professor in Care Science. Mental ill health is a growing problem in Sweden. The healthcare of today is mainly focused on the present but there are situations where a person’s biography has a crucial impact for the decision of care, treatment or other decisions.
I have developed time-geographical life chart, so-called lifelines. It is a method used to describe human behaviour in relation to places. Time-geographical life chart is an interactive and systematic method for identifying and understanding the connection between how social and stressful events during a life course affect people's mental health.
