Eric Kull is a doctoral student in applied physics at Malmö University since September 2025. He holds a bachelor’s degree in theoretical physics from Lund University and a master’s degree in computational materials science from Malmö University. His research focuses on understanding material behavior in cemented carbides at the atomic scale, particularly in the context of phosphorus additions. To enable these studies, he develops and applies machine-learned interatomic potentials (MLIPs), including ongoing work on a potential for phosphorus, to investigate interatomic interactions with particular emphasis on wetting between cobalt binders and tungsten carbide grains.
