About the project
The project address eco-social interventions, broadly defined as interventions that combines social, economic and ecological sustainability in their objectives. My background in social work gives me a special interest for interventions that aim at solutions to human needs that are sustainable from both an environmental and an economic perspective. It can be needs such social support and material resources, meaningfulness, safety and caring relations. The underpinning question involves how an equal distribution of welfare can be combined – in practice, theory and policy – with a sustainable development at societal as well as at a local level.
The project consists of a systematic review and a mapping over current eco-social interventions in Malmö, organised by the city or by actors in civil society. Last, I will conduct a so-called research circle, a knowledge alliance with public officials in social services as well as in other areas of operations, civil societal actors and researches with an interest to explore the potentials of eco-social interventions further.
