About the project
The internet offers youth near endless possibilities to explore their sexuality and to engage in sexual acts of varying kinds. Young people's online practices are part of complex affective cultural systems and technologies. Young people themselves point to the internet and media technologies as central in their sexual interactions, however, there is limited knowledge on how sexual consent is negotiated among youth online, particularly in the Swedish context. This postdoctoral project, therefore, explores how young people negotiate sexual consent in their everyday online environments and practices.
