Project description

This is a cross-disciplinary and collaborative research project “Measuring Progression: BA and MA Theses at the Faculty of Education and Society, Malmö University”.

The aim of the project is to develop precise evaluation and assessment tools to identify and measure the progression and development of critical thinking and related research literacy skills among teacher-trainee students at the Faculty of Education and Society.

Based on the results of a previous pilot project, we have developed a faculty-wide, annotated database of BA and MA papers between 2013-2019, that can be used to understand the critical deficiencies in the papers and help create work models for systematic quality evaluations. In addition, we will develop tools that measure research literacy skills and knowledge progression to help formulate research and evidence-based criteria for the assessment of BA and MA papers.
