Urban planning, bonding and bridging
Nigara, hörsal (Auditorium) A & B, Nordenskiöldsgatan 1
Speaker: Marianne Dock, City Planning Office in Malmö
Social aspects in urban planning are getting more and more highlighted, not just in Malmö. We see tendencies that socioeconomic gaps between citizens are widening, and are concentrated to geographical areas. The Networking city is a model to support social capital to overcome barriers among people. The lecture will show how the shape of our cities influence the way people can, or cannot, interact.
We are pleased to invite you to this semesters seminar series in Urban Studies. We have organized, together with the Institute for the studies of Malmö History, five exciting events on the topic of Urban Commons and The Right to the City. Please save the dates, and invite friends and colleagues that you think might be interested.
