We continue to extend and deepen our international research collaborations to enrich and ensure quality and contribution to sustainable global development.

Our researchers build fruitful alliances with international partners and alumni to bring research areas together for co-creation of new knowledge. We will reach this goal through a set of enablers that facilitate international partnerships and collaboration.

Cultivating international partnerships and collaboration

We foster knowledge alliances that bring senior and junior researchers together for knowledge co-creation and innovation. We are part of a worldwide inclusive research community based on academic freedom and openness to democratic values.

We can enable this by

  • providing tools and resources to advance cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas and knowledge
  • creating welcoming research environments for vulnerable researchers (such as Scholars at Risk)
  • developing sabbatical structures for researchers to go abroad
  • further strengthening and building our capacity to increase EU/European collaboration and funding.

Infrastructures for internatioal collaboration and development

We nourish our global community and welcome international colleagues from near and far. Together we shape and contribute to the University and the wider community.

We can enable this by

  • increasing openness and access to research worldwide through open access publication
  • supporting researchers in their international applications for successful research funding
  • securing an effective introduction and welcoming of international researchers
  • providing language courses in Swedish for international researchers and doctoral students.

Addressing Agenda 2030 through research collaboration

We pursue research in academic international environments to address global and local challenges. We are committed to cross-border and cross-sectorial research, knowledge sharing, and innovation in collaboration with our public, private and civil society partners.

We can enable this by

  • stimulating and encouraging research that contributes to addressing global challenges
  • bringing better visibility to research that directly or indirectly relates to global challenges
  • assisting researchers to better describe the impact of their research on global challenges.
