The Knowledge Centre for Educational Health in Schools collects and develops research on educational health for schools, public authorities and teacher training programmes.

About the Centre

The Centre aims to enhance understanding of how schools can adopt a more preventive and health-promoting approach for children and pupils. The ambition is to gather and develop research on educational health, encompassing mental, physical, social and existential health.

The centre aims to ensure that existing and new knowledge reaches schools, teacher training programmes, government bodies and other stakeholders working with children and young people.

The Centre strives to:

  • Collect, disseminate and make available international and national research on the health of children and pupils.
  • Conduct new research into identified knowledge gaps regarding educational health.
  • Collaborate with various societal stakeholders to ensure that new knowledge is applied in school practice in response to current challenges.
  • Disseminate knowledge about educational health to teacher training programmes and other professional training programmes that work with children and young people.
