Opening Hours and Contacts for Malmö University Libraries
and contacts
You will find Malmö University Library on three locations in Malmö: the Orkanen Library on "Universitetsholmen" and the Odontology Library and the Health and society Library close to "Triangeln" train station.
Opening hours
NOTE! University students and staff can access the Health and Society Library and Odontology Library during extended opening hours. During these hours, the information desks are unstaffed, and you will need your Multicard and pin code to enter the library.
Orkanen Library
- Monday–Thursday 8–20
- Friday 8–17
- Saturday 11–16
Health and Society Library
- Monday–Friday 10–16 (extended opening hours for students and staff 6–22)
- Saturday–Sunday Closed (extended opening hours for students and staff 6–22)
Odontology Library
Open only to students and staff of Malmö University!
At the Odontology Library, only LIBRARY USE ONLY books are available. These can be accessed every day from 6 to 22 — use your multi-card and PIN code to enter the house. Books and journals on these subjects can be found at the Orkanen Library.
A librarian is available during the following hours:
- Monday 10–12
- Tuesday–Thursday 14–16
- Friday 10–12
Summer 2026
Orkanen Library
During the summer, from 6 June to 22 August, the Orkanen Library will be closed on all Saturdays.
- 8 June–10 July, weekdays 10–14 (extended opening hours for students and staff 8–10 and 14–17)
- Midsummer 19 June, Closed
- 11 July–2 August, Closed for summer
- 3–7 August, weekdays 10–14 (extended opening hours for students and staff 8–10 and 14–17)
- 10–23 August, weekdays 10–17 (extended opening hours for students and staff 8–10)
Regular opening hours from 24 August.
Please note! On Thursday, 27 August, all three libraries will be closed due to staff training.
Health and Society Library
- 8 June–10 July, Closed (extended opening hours for students and staff 6–22)
- Midsummer 19 June, Closed
- 11 July–2 August, Closed for summer
- 3–16 August, Closed (extended opening hours for students and staff 6–22)
Regular opening hours from 17 August.
