Get a Library Account/Library card

To borrow books, you need to apply for a library account. Once you have submitted your application, you can place reservations on books. Please note that available books cannot be reserved.

  • Before you can borrow, you must verify your account by presenting a valid photo ID at one of our libraries. Verification must be completed within 21 days of submitting your application.
  • You borrow books using the library’s self-service machines with your personal identity number and PIN code. The library does not issue physical library cards.

Apply for a library account online

If you prefer to set up a library account in person, you are welcome to visit any of our libraries. Please go to the information desk, and we will be happy to help you. Remember to bring a valid photo ID.

WiFi, computers, and printing

You need a visitor account to log in to the library’s computers and print. You can get this from the IT support at Orkanen Library or Health and Society Library. You can also turn to IT support if you have issues with WiFi, how the printers work, or any other computer-related matters.

The university’s wireless network is called Eduroam; you can connect to this network using your guest account. Add @mau.se to your username [username@mau.se].
