Malmö Universitet
Malmö University has several sites around Malmö, with our largest campuses at Universitetsholmen and Niagara – just a few minutes from Malmö Central Station.

Malmö University is situated in the heart of the city – close to stations, restaurants, the sea and city life. Our campuses are within walking and cycling distance of Malmö Central Station and are easy to reach by bus, train or bike.
You’ll find us mainly in Universitetsholmen and the Niagara area, but also at several locations around Malmö.
Malmö University’s buildings include Kranen, Niagara, Orkanen, the Health and Socity Building, Forskaren and Klerken.

Niagara
At Niagara, you will find the Faculty of Technology and Society, the Faculty of Culture and Society, and parts of the Faculty of Health and Society. On the ground floor, you will also find Drivhuset and Restaurant Niagara, which also has a café.

The reception at Niagara offers services and support to students, visitors and staff at Malmö University.

The Orkanen building is home to the Orkanen Library and the Faculty of Education and Society. Orkanen is centrally located on Universitetsholmen.

Orkanen Library
The Orkanen Library, the largest of the three university libraries, is located on the fifth floor of the building.

Orkanen Restaurant
Orkanen Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the building. There is also a café here.
Orkanen Restaurant’s lunch menu
The Health and Society building is home to the Faculty of Health and Society. The building is one of many on the hospital campus and is designated AS9. It is situated next to Pildammsparken and close to the Faculty of Odontology’s Klerken building.

The General Hospital building is closed for the summer from 15 June to 17 August.

The Klerken building, which houses the School of Dentistry and the University Dental Clinic, is home to the Faculty of Odontology. The building is situated adjacent to the General Hospital area.
Opening hours during the summer
Klerken is closed for the summer from 15 June to 16 August.

The Forskaren building is home to the Faculty of Health and Society and the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Some of Open Lab Skåne’s activities are also carried out here. Forskaren is situated adjacent to Medeon Science Park in Malmö.
Opening hours
Forskaren is not open to the public. Only students at the department and staff members have access to the building.

Open Lab
The researcher is home to parts of Open Lab Skåne’s operations. Open Lab Skåne is a collaboration between Malmö University, Lund University and SmiLe Incubator. Open Lab Skåne enables your company to gain access to expertise, equipment and laboratory facilities in the fields of life sciences, food technology, materials science and chemistry.
The Kranen building is the venue for the practical elements of Police Education and for the university’s classroom-based examinations. The building is situated in Västra Hamnen. It houses training facilities such as a flat, a restaurant, a shop and an interrogation room, as well as a shooting range and a garage for police vehicles.

The building houses a range of service and support functions for the university’s students, such as the Student Service Centre, as well as the Senior University Officers and the University Executive Office. On this page, you will find opening hours and contact details for the building and the reception. The building is situated alongside the university’s additional facilities on Universitetsholmen.

The reception is closed from 22 June to 17 August.

Nereus is open to the public Monday–Thursday 8.30–16.05 and Friday 8.30–12.
