Presentation

My current research interests concern aspects related to meaning, memory and materiality. I am currently working on two research projects that relate to these aspects in different ways.

The first concerns cultural aspects of snow and winter in light of global warming. The aim is to investigate how winter as a cultural phenomenon is understood and renegotiated in relation to climate change. Here, meaning, memory and materiality are brought to the fore.

I am currently analysing written responses from a questionnaire survey conducted in collaboration with the Swedish Folklife Archives in Lund. The questionnaire's questions and themes concern people's memories of snow and their thoughts and feelings about snow today. The analysis has been funded by the Åke Wiberg Foundation.

The second project, ‘Memories of Play’, explores preschool teacher students' memories of play and is being carried out in collaboration with Kristine Hultberg Ingridz. The project is funded by Imagining and Co-Creating Futures (ICF).
