Presentation

I am a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences (K3) at Malmö University and Director of Studies in the Design Unit. I teach in the BA and MA Interaction Design programmes, where I teach courses on ethnographic design research, design methodology, interaction design in society, and experimental forms of interactivity, and supervise BA and MA thesis projects.

My research focuses on the role of empirical research in design, particularly ethnography. I am interested in methodological questions concerning the generativity of the present in relation to imagined futures, and in how design ethnography differs from more conventional ethnographic approaches in anthropology and sociology. This work also addresses the limitations of empirically oriented methodologies in design.

A second line of research examines co-design and participatory design from post-structuralist and Science and Technology Studies (STS) perspectives, with particular attention to questions of power, interests, and the politics of participation.

More recently, I have been exploring digital writing from an interaction design perspective, treating writing as a perceptual, spatial, and material practice shaped by bodily interaction and collaborative forms of text production, including AI-supported writing.
