Tina-Marie Whitman is an adjunct in Visual Communication at Malmö University. She was one of the founders of the Visual Communication BA program and served as program coordinator for its first ten years. She also served on the School of Culture’s Study Program Committee, the departmental Educational Council, and the departmental Course Committee. She teaches courses in visual communication, visual culture, and sketching and drawing practice including Drawing and Cognition.

Her research interests revolve around drawing, communication and pedagogy; the intersection between cognitive psychology and drawing practice; and drawing, mushroom foraging, and getting lost as embodied epistemic practices.
