Course content
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of strategic and change management principles and practices in real estate management organisations. It explores how the companies grow, innovate and change. It helps students to gain knowledge and competences to shape, implement and communicate strategies for sustainable real estate management in a fast-changing business environment.
The course addresses strategic work within real estate organisations, focusing on the analysis of organisational position in relation to the macro environment, the real estate sector, and internal resources and capacities. It covers a range of strategic options, including corporate and business strategies, entrepreneurship and innovation strategies, as well as sustainability strategies.
Students gain an understanding of how strategies are developed in practice, the actors involved, and the methods used to manage strategic work. The course also highlights strategic change towards sustainability, introducing approaches for analysing context, organising change processes, and evaluating the effects of strategic decisions.

Course evaluation
Malmö University provides students who participate in, or who have completed a course, with the opportunity to express their opinions and describe their experiences of the course by completing a course evaluation administered by the University. The University will compile and summarise the results of course evaluations. The University will also inform participants of the results and any decisions relating to measures taken in response to the course evaluations. The results will be made available to the students (HF 1:14).
