How to think on AI

Welcome to a reading circle that asks how to think on AI – as technology, collaborator and competitor

We offer a space to doubt, discover and celebrate. Through a diverse mix of materials such as podcasts, lectures, academic writing and fiction, we want to open conversations about what AI might mean for us. Together, we will reflect on how knowledge is made and cared for, ethics and the relationship between technology and natural resources.

You don’t need any knowledge of AI or a pre-existing standpoint to participate. Our only expectation is that you are interested in exploring together with others.

The circle meets on four occasions and runs in parallel at SLU Umeå together with Umeå University, SLU Ultuna, SLU Alnarp and Malmö University. For the third session, we will all meet online, bringing together participants from all the local circles.

  • 6 October 16–17.30
  • 19 October 16–17.30
  • 4 November 16–17.30 (Online meeting, in Orkanen Library, room C527)
