Welcome to Professor Eva Elmerstig’s inaugural lecture!
“When the desire for children meets reality – fertility awareness and involuntary childlessness”
The ability to have children is often taken for granted, but what happens when the desire for children meets a reality where things do not go as planned? Involuntary childlessness can affect one’s entire life and have consequences for self-esteem, relationships, sexuality and mental wellbeing. In her lecture, Eva Elmerstig explores fertility awareness and involuntary childlessness, and how these experiences are shaped at the intersection of the body, relationships and society.
The lecture will be held in Swedish. Fika will be served.
