I am a Ph.D. student in astrophysics, working on Globular Clusters. Such clusters are made up of many thousands, if not millions, of stars, and they are some of the oldest structures in the Milky Way. As such, they can tell us a lot about our galaxy's past. I analyze the chemical make-up of individual stars in clusters using high-resolution infrared spectroscopy (mostly in the H-band, at around 1.5 - 2 microns).
