Qualitative Methods 7,5 credits
Course objectives
The course objectives are to enable students to develop knowledge of qualitative methods within the subject areas of Sports Science and Educational Science. The term ‘method’ refers both to methods for collecting empirical data and to the analysis of such empirical data. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to apply various methods based on an analytical and critical approach. This approach should be applied both to their own work and to the texts of other researchers; in other words, students should be able to both apply and critically evaluate different methodological choices. The course objectives also include developing students’ creativity and independence with regard to methodological choices.
