Presentation
Kerstin Tham is employed as a senior professor of occupational therapy and was vice-chancellor of Malmö University from 2015 to 2024 and was previously pro-rector at Karolinska Institutet. Her research focuses on activity and participation in everyday life after stroke from a rehabilitation perspective.
Professor Tham has supervised some 15 doctoral students up to their defence of their thesis at Karolinska Institutet and has been the principal investigator of several research projects with funding from the Swedish Research Council, the Vårdal Foundation and Forte, among others.
She has been president of the European Women Rectors Association (EWORA) since 2023, is a member of the board of the Knowledge Foundation and is nationally involved in ULF and SUHF's leadership programme for rectors and managers at Swedish universities and colleges.
