Presentation
Marie-Louise Möllerberg holds a PhD in Medical Science and is a ass Senior Lecturer and ass Deputy Head of Department at the Department of Care Science. Her research focuses on palliative care, family‑centred care, and psychometric measurement quality, with particular interest in patients’ and family members’ needs, involvement, and experiences during serious illness and end‑of‑life care.
Marie-Louise Möllerberg’s research includes the development, evaluation, and implementation of approaches and measurement tools that support quality, participation, and equity in palliative care. She works with issues related to quality assurance, care processes, and healthcare professionals’ use of quality registries in improvement work. A central element of her research is the psychometric development, translation, and validation of measurement instruments that capture phenomena relevant to palliative care, family support, and family‑centred care.
Participation, clinical relevance, and the creation of knowledge that can be directly applied in healthcare practice are guiding principles in Marie‑Louise Möllerberg’s research. She collaborates closely with patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and healthcare organisations to ensure relevant, useful, and implementable research outcomes.
Marie-Louise Möllerberg is part of the research environments Palliative Care and Quality Development – PaCE, Cancer and Illness Rehabilitation – CaRe, Measures for Change, Child and Family Health Research – CFHR, and the Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre – SDRC, where her work contributes to strengthening palliative care, family‑centred practices, and the development of robust measurement tools within care science.
