Presentation

I am a PhD candidate in Social Work with a focus on older adults who live with long-term use of drugs. My research examines how ageing, living conditions, risk management, and social relationships are shaped in marginalized life situations, and how these processes are influenced by both individual experiences and structural conditions.

In my doctoral project, I work with a qualitative approach to explore how long-term drug use shapes the social conditions of ageing. The analysis is informed by a life-course perspective and a lifestyle perspective, which together provide a deeper understanding of how experiences change over time.

Beyond my dissertation work, I am involved in the research environment on substance use and ageing, and I participate in seminars and research collaborations. I also teach regularly in the Social Work programme, primarily through lectures and course components related to social work, substance use, and ageing.
