Course objectives

The purpose of the course is that the doctoral students deepen their knowledge of interdisciplinary approaches to community-based spatial practices, understood as advanced and reflexive modes of research. Spatial practice is approached both as an object of analysis and as a research practice, with emphasis on criticality, reflexivity, positionality, and responsibility in community-based co-production, and on the forms, mediations, and spatial–aesthetic arrangements through which co-creation across difference can be held, sustained, and negotiated over time.
