Project description
HIVE is a research and innovation project that develops and validates a cloud-based platform for scenario analysis in municipal transport and mobility planning. Conducted in collaboration with Simactis AB, Lund University, and six Swedish municipalities, the project aims to support evidence-based decision-making for a more energy-efficient and resilient transport system.
HIVE enables planners to evaluate the impacts of measures such as cycling infrastructure investments, parking policies, and vehicle fleet electrification. By modelling travel behaviour and vehicle fleet composition, the platform quantifies effects on energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, traffic demand, and system resilience. Malmö University contributes expertise in decision support, usability, and the integration of analytical tools into municipal planning practice.
