Our Research
The research is conducted in close collaboration with municipal health and social care services and is characterized by co-design among researchers, health care staff, older persons, their next of kin, and other key stakeholders. PROSENIOR focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of sustainable interventions, with a strong commitment of integrating evidenced-based knowledge with practice. We welcome collaborations that align with the research group's focus and objectives.
Prevention of falls, pressure ulcers, malnutrition and poor oral health in older persons in Skåne
The overall aim of the project is to investigate the risks of, and prevention of, falls, pressure ulcers, malnutrition and poor oral health among persons 65 years and older, as well as to identify planned and implemented care actions. Data from the national quality register, Senior Alert, is used. This part of the project will be conducted from 1 January 2016 to 31 December. (Contact: Christine Kumlien)
The stair of knowledge
The overall aim of the project was to develop, test and evaluate an intervention, The stair of knowledge, to reduce the risks of falls, pressure ulcers, malnutrition and poor oral health among older persons in nursing homes in Malmö City and registered in quality register Senior Alert. The stair of knowledge was co-designed in collaboration with health care staff and managers working in nursing homes. This part of the project was conducted from 1 September 2019 to 17 May 2024. Co-designing an intervention to prevent fall, malnutrition, poor oral health and pressure ulcers
The overall aim of the project is to develop, test and evaluate an intervention to reduce the risks of falls, pressure ulcers, malnutrition and poor oral health among older persons in nursing homes in the municipalities of Svedala and Sjöbo. The intervention will be co-designed in collaboration with older persons in nursing homes and their next of kin. This part of the project will be conducted from 14 September to 15 September 2028. The Stairs of Knowledge 2.0
The overall aim of the project is to refine and implement the previously co-designed intervention, The Stairs of Knowledge, within the municipalities of Hässleholm and Eslöv. This part of the project will be conducted from 10 August to 10 August 2028. (Merita Neziraj)
