Presentation
My research investigates the creation, circulation, and legitimation of political actions, knowledge, and ideas, with a particular focus on examining how everyday action and interaction produce both political conflict and political possibility. Theoretically, I depart from a broadly interactionist and American pragmatist understanding of the social world, analyzing how actors solve the problems they encounter and the ramifications of their solutions. My work has appeared in Gender & Society, Mobilization, Social Movement Studies, and Ethnography amongst other outlets.
My recent research has analyzed the culture of right-wing populism, with a particular focus on how right-wing populists produce knowledge and reinterpret shared cultural ideals to legitimize their political positions. Prior to this, my work explored the attractions and culture of radical political groups.
I teach Sociology, qualitative methods, and quantitative methods and have supervised students writing both Bachelor's and Master's theses in different social scientific subjects.
I received my PhD in Sociology from Lund University in 2022, and have previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Roskilde University.
