I am a registered nurse and hold a postgraduate diploma in specialist nursing in anesthesia care, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Practical Philosophy. My nursing background is rooted in inpatient infectious disease care, specifically within high-tech, sub-intensive care settings. My doctoral project focuses on intermediate care nursing. From an ethnographic perspective, I explore the characteristics of nursing in intermediate care and how nurses develop within this setting.
