About the project
Given the ageing population and the ongoing transition of Swedish health care into “close care”, an increasing number of individuals will also receive municipal health care services at the end of life. To address this shift, targeted quality improvement efforts are necessary to maintain and enhance the quality of palliative care. To provide optimal end-of-life care for those receiving municipal health care, gaining deeper knowledge and understanding about the quality of palliative care and the healthcare professionals’ experiences of using the Swedish Register of Palliative Care in quality improvement is crucial.
Aim
This research project aims to explore the quality of palliative care and healthcare professionals’ experiences of the challenges and opportunities of using the Swedish Register of Palliative Care in quality improvement within the municipal healthcare setting.
