About the project
A prospective clinical multicentre trial will perform bite force measurements of patients planned for dental implant treatment. The bite force is measured before dental implant treatment which is then carried out according to standard protocol. Patients attend annual follow-ups where complications are registered. Correlations between the number and type of complications and bite force will be analysed. If a correlation is shown, we plan to implement bite force measurement as a routine risk assessment in clinical practice.
