Att leva med havet - från varvsindustri till ålgräsängar
Tuesday 25 November, 16:00 - 19:00
Niagara, våning 2, Nordenskiöldsgatan 1
On Tuesday, November 25, the Malmö pilot within the EU project Bauhaus of the Seas Sails invites you to a celebration to summarise the project and look ahead.
Come and experience an exhibition on ocean culture, featuring exhibits that explore how we can create a new relationship with the sea. Tune in to a panel discussion on Malmö as a regenerative coastal city.
Light refreshments and drinks will also be served.
Programme
- 16:00 Opening of the exhibition on new maritime cultures in Malmö
BoS Sea Ambassadors present their work promoting new relationships between Malmö residents and life in the Öresund. - 16:45 Summary of the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails project in Malmö, and a look ahead
- 17:00 Panel discussion on Malmö as a regenerative coastal city
- 17:45 Mingle with snacks and drinks
- 18:15 Concert “Soundscapes from the coastline” with Rebell Guitar Quartet
How can our shared sea inspire new ways of creating instrumental music? The Rebell Guitar Quartet explores this question on three classical guitars. Folk music, classical guitar and minimalism are mixed with free improvisation and original compositions. Through their coastal soundscapes, the ensemble embarks on an emotional journey of discovery into the tonal possibilities of the great blue sea. - 18:45-19:00 Closing ceremony: replanting bladderwrack in the Södra Varvsbassängen
Together we go out to the basin quay to give a gift to the ecosystem.
