Presentation
I am a senior lecturer in child and youth studies, and an associate professor in media and communication studies. In my research, I am interested in various issues related to children's and young people's use of digital media. For instance, I study how teaching in primary school, school-age educare and pre-school, can promote students' digital competences with a focus on a critical and responsible approach. I am involved in both theory development and in collaborative research with schools, school-age educare centres and pre-schools.
I am a vice director for Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre at Malmö university, and leader of the research group Didactic studies at the department Childhood, education and society. I am also director of the environment "The Child’s Best Interest: Welfare sectors’ strategic communication with children" which through research, education and collaboration works to strengthen children's digital rights and children's digital citizenship.
