Presentation

I am a senior lecturer in child and youth studies, and an associate professor in media and communication studies. In my research, I am interested in various issues related to children's use of digital media. I study how teaching in primary school, with a focus on the younger school years and school-age educare, can promote students' digital competences with a focus on a critical and responsible approach online. I am involved in both theory development and in collaborative research with schools and school-age educare centres.

I am also director of the environment "The Child’s Best Interest: Welfare sectors’ strategic communication with children" which through research, education and collaboration works to strengthen children's digital rights and children's digital citizenship. This environment focuses primarily on welfare actors (municipalities, authorities, non-profit organizations) and their work with strategic communication based on a children's rights perspective.
