Maria Camacho Doyle holds a PhD in Criminology. She has a Master's degree in Psychology with a focus on prevention science, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Criminology and Rhetoric – Communicative Leadership. Her research primarily concentrates on place-based criminology. She has a specific interest in forecasts and geographical risk factors related to crime and fear of crime/unsafety. Her work also focuses on spatial analyses and how mapping can be applied for both crime prevention and safety-enhancing initiatives. In addition, she evaluates methods and results within these areas.
