Public Administration and Politics
Public administration is a crucial but neglected aspect of liberal democracy as well as authoritarian rule, at the national as well as transnational and international levels.
Our Research
Our research group on Public Administration and Politics is united by a common basis in classic as well as emerging theorizing on organizations, politics and public administration. Our research themes include:
- Management reform, organizational change and bureaucratization in public administration
- The administrative structure of historical communist state administration
- Post-communist public administration in EU candidate countries
- International organisations and East-West policy isomorphism during the Cold War
- The multilevel governance of mineral extraction in West Africa
- European and nation level migration agencies as public administration
