K3 Research Seminar – a discussion led by the Arts-based Research Group
Wednesday 4 February, 13:15 - 15:00
KS Open Space
For the Arts-based Research Group, 2025 was a year of ‘Returning to Practice.’ Along with our Sem Work Shops, we supported three K3 researchers to explore new practices:
- Martin Cathcart Frodin experimented with a new mode of writing poetry and fiction,
- Daniel Gaffner widened his thoughts and practices around the curation of art and cultural artefacts, and
- Helena Ondrus is cultivating a practice around designing with different materials while using dice to introduce an element of play into the process.
We will hear from each of them during this seminar but will conduct this seminar as a cross between a panel and a group discussion so that we can hear from anyone who might be wondering about existing or new art and design practices, and how these might be (or might not be) framed as research methodologies.
This seminar sits in the middle of a week celebrating practices. Join us each lunch in the KS Open Space from 12.15–13.00 for a different encounter with a practice.
