Abstract
Maj Povrzanović Frykman will present two chapters from the forthcoming volume she is co-editing with Eleonora Narvselius and Cristine Sarrimo, Academia and Cultural Production in Sweden: The Perspective of Postmigration.
The introductory chapter situates the interview-based project on which the book is based — funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (2021–24) — within current scholarship that employs the notion of postmigration.
The chapter on academic alliances explores the interviewed scholars’ experiences and perceptions of collegiality, mentorship, and friendship in academia, and analyses how these relationships support successful academic careers.
We welcome more feedback based on the reading of the chapter manuscripts. The seminar participants who would like to read the texts in advance, please contact maja.frykman@mau.se.
