Presentation

Dr. Behrang Kianzad holds an LLM (2015) in Law from Lund University and a PhD (2022) in Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, and Economics from the University of Copenhagen. He has completed two postdoctoral appointments: one at the University of Copenhagen and another at the Department of Business Law, School of Economics, Lund University, funded by the Johan and Jakob Söderberg Foundation. Since September 2025, he is employed as Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Institute of Global Political Studies, Malmö University, supported by a three-year grant from the Swedish Competition Authority. He is the founder of the European Researcher Network on Fairness in Digital Markets and Artificial Intelligence (FIDMA), a reviewer for the European Journal of Law and Economics, and a contributing author to the Encyclopaedia of Law and Economics and Concurrences Global Dictionary. Dr. Kianzad is an international expert in competition law, economics, and policy, with strong foundations in legal philosophy, intellectual property law, and law and economics. He has published widely, with work appearing through Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Springer, Edward Elgar, and leading journals in competition law, IP law, and health law.
