About the project
Aim
The overall aim is to develop an improved understanding of how a supportive learning environment, that encourages active learning, is perceived and experienced by university students and lecturers teaching topics related to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) that may be considered ‘sensitive’. The project focuses on perceived barriers and enablers for an environment that supports student active learning and participation, as well as the strategies used by educators and students to navigate teaching in politically charged and potentially sensitive subject areas.
Two Sub-Studies
The project consists of two studies based on qualitative interviews. In Study 1 (2024–2025), students’ perspectives have been explored. In Study 2 (2025-2026), the focus will shift to exploring teachers’ perspectives.
