About the project
The project aims to provide insights into the impact of oral health – and especially periodontal diseases – on the often heterogeneous course of disease and treatment response in IBD. Radiographic and clinical dental examinations, oral health-related quality of life assessment, and dental health register data, together with a variety of biological samples from several sources/systems, genetic profiles, as well as information on environmental factors, are collected, and advanced analyses are performed, advancing personalised medicine to improve IBD management.
