Swedish Language, Culture and Society II
About the course
This course is designed for students who wish to continue developing their Swedish langauge skills. It focuses on strengthening basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and writing for everyday communication.
Students will engage in a variety of learning activities such as grammar explanations, oral practice, writing exercises and participation in language cafés.
We foster a stimulating and creative learning environment to support language development. In addition, aspects of Swedish culture and social life are introduced and discussed in English to deepen cultural understanding.
Upon completion, students will have achieved approximately 20 % of level A2 on the Common European Framework of Reference scale (CEFR).
Course content
The student develops a basic vocabulary and grammar for oral and written everyday communication in Swedish. The course includes reading of short, simple texts. In all parts, Swedish everyday life / student life is in focus.
In addition to what is covered in language teaching, Swedish culture and Swedish social life are presented and discussed in English.

Course evaluation
Malmö University provides students who participate in, or who have completed a course, with the opportunity to express their opinions and describe their experiences of the course by completing a course evaluation administered by the University. The University will compile and summarise the results of course evaluations. The University will also inform participants of the results and any decisions relating to measures taken in response to the course evaluations. The results will be made available to the students (HF 1:14).
