We want to make the recruitment process as transparent and clear as possible for the applicant. Here are the steps involved:

Recruitment process timeline

  • the positions will be advertised internationally in spring 2026.
  • the deadline for applications is during the first quarter.
  • the planned start date is September 2026.

Application and initial selection

  • after the application deadline, an initial selection is made
  • only candidates who meet the basic requirements will proceed in the process

Expert review

  • at least two external experts will assess your application, your qualifications and your teaching experience
  • the assessment is objective and based on the experts' competence in the field, and is used as a basis for the next step

Interview and pedagogical assessment

  • candidates who proceed will be invited to an interview
  • you may also be asked to give a trial lecture or complete a pedagogical work sample
  • references will be contacted to supplement the assessment

Recommendation

  • The Teacher Appointment Committee makes an overall assessment of all the information and recommends the candidate who is considered most qualified

Decision on appointment

  • the dean makes the final decision on appointment based on the committee's recommendation

Qualification requirements

To be eligible for the position, you must meet the requirements of the Higher Education Act and the university's employment regulations. The specific requirements are:

Academic degree: Doctorate or equivalent competence (preferably within the last 7 years). Exceptions may be made for special reasons (for example, illness or parental leave).

Qualifications: documented scientific expertise.

Personal qualities: General suitability and good collaborative skills to be able to perform the duties of the position well.

Language: Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
