Karen Swartz-Hammer, PhD in Religious Studies, affiliated researcher at the Department of Society, Culture and Identity (Malmö University), and PhD candidate in Literary Studies at University of Turku presents her dissertation project, titled "Narrating the Unseen: Speculative Fiction, Race, and Respectability in Early Mormon and Theosophical Print Cultures, 1880–1920”.
