Malin Reljanovic Glimäng Teacher Educator and Researcher Department of Culture, Languages and Media Faculty of Education, Malmö University

I am a teacher educator and researcher at Malmö University’s Department of Culture, Languages and Media. I hold a PhD in Educational Sciences from Malmö University, where my research focused on interculturality and glocal awareness through Virtual Exchange. I also hold an MA in American Cultural Studies from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and an MA in Education from Malmö University.

My teaching includes courses in literature, cultural studies, and English as a global language. I strive to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments that encourage critical thinking about culture, identity, and global interconnections.

My research explores the role of Virtual Exchange in the internationalization of higher education, with a particular focus on critical interculturality, global citizenship, and peace education. I am especially interested in how digital collaboration across borders can foster mutual understanding and social responsibility among students.

I am passionate about education as a transformative force. Through both my teaching and research, I aim to support learners in becoming reflective, engaged global citizens who can navigate and contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.
