Presentation

I am a Ph.D candidate in International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER) at the Department of Global Political Studies (GPS). Previously, I've received a M.Sc. in Psychology from Lund University and a M.A. in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmo University. In my current PhD project, I look at how individuals construct and enact boundaries around the perception of 'Swedishness' as an ethnic and national identity, partially through visual markers of belongingness like skin color or racial appraisals. My research interests include an interdisciplinary approach to migration studies through social psychological theoretical frameworks as well as identity, belongingness, and in/out group relations, race, racialization, and ethnicity.
