Presentation

I am a PhD in Health and Society with a specialisation in disability and rehabilitation science, and I am a teacher at a qualified level. I have a background as a social worker with a social pedagogical orientation and hold a one-year Master of Science in Social Work.

My dissertation “I would like help, but do not take my children.” Parenting among parents with intellectual disabilities (2023) highlights experiences, thoughts and ideals about parenting among twenty-three parents who have been classified with intellectual disabilities.

I work as a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Work. In my position, I am course coordinator for the course Social Work: Social work profession, 12 credits. The course is a part of the fourth semester of the Social Work programme.

I also have course responsibility for the course Social Pedagogical Work in an Individual Perspective, 15 credits. The course constitutes a module in the third semester of the programme Social Pedagogical Work within the Field of Disability.

I have an assignment as programme coordinator for the “Social Pedagogical Programme within the Field of Disability” as well as assignments to promote internationalisation at the Department of Social Work. This means that I am part of the faculty’s International Council, and am responsible for the department’s students who, in addition to their degree, wish to acquire international merits through a Certificate of International Merits (CIM).
