Dr. Svitlana Babenko, Docent, PhD in Sociology, is a Project Researcher, Department of Global Politic Studies(GPS), Malmö Institute for Studies of Migration, Diversity and Welfare (MIM) at Malmö University. Her current research project “European Solidarity, institutional changes in migration policy, and adaptation strategies: De-othering and social integration of refugees in the context of the russian war in Ukraine” is designed within the frame of sociology, migration, and gender studies, it is ambitiously aimed at overcoming the gap between institutional and active participation \ agency levels for better solutions in developing and using the human potential of Ukrainian high professional female refugees in cooperation for local and international business, as well as developing collaboration for rebuilding post-war Ukraine within Sweden, Germany and Poland. Svitlana is Associate Professor at Department of Social Structures and Social Relations, Head of MA Program "Gender Studies with Double degree with Lund University, Sweden" at Faculty of Sociology Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine; May-September 2022 Svitlana was a Visiting Research Fellow, and the Department of Gender Studies and Department of Sociology at Lund University with the project “Resilience of Universities Educators: Gendered Experiences in Digital Turn of Teaching in Universities f Ukraine under Covid-pandemic and russian War”. During 2022 Svitlana also coordinates Kyiv University team in the Swedish Institute-supported project "Digital Capacities Building for Gender Studies Advanced Teaching and Learning Internationally" of Lund University, Ilia State University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Svitlana Babenko is a Head of Kyiv Unit of Sociological Association of Ukraine from 2021, a member of International Sociological Association and European Sociological Association from 1999.
